Job Responsibilities:
- Review inpatient medical records for validation of DRG (Diagnostic-related Groups) assignment.
- Provide detailed rationale and supporting evidence for recommendations and
findings. - Utilize industry-recognized references to support their review findings, such as the
ICD-10 Official Guidelines for Coding and Reporting, AHIMA Standards of Ethical
Coding, AHIMA Practice Briefs related to compliant querying, and AHA Coding
Clinics. - Knowledge of 3M coding, Optum, computer assisted coding (CAC), abstracting
software, Meditech etc. will be added advantage
Qualifications
- Must be willing to work ONSITE
- Has an active CIC or CCS
o If candidate has CPC, they must have 2 yrs DRG experience - Must be a BS Nursing or Med Allied course
- Active PHRN license
- Must have at 1 yr & 6 months of DRGV Auditor experience or 3 years of IP Medical
